David joined CTPT looking for a gym that could match the quality of personal training he’d had before moving to Canterbury.
A dad of one working in financial services, he wanted expert coaching and a place where he’d feel part of a community. He’d tried PT before and knew the value of good coaching — but also knew it was hard to find. When he saw CTPT’s advert, he was impressed by the confidence in what they could offer and decided to give it a go.
Since joining, David’s built strength, improved his technique, and gained the confidence to walk into any gym and lift well. He trains more often now — four to five times a week — because the balance of hard work, expert coaching, and fun keeps him coming back. Add to that a community where everyone knows your name, and he’s found far more than he expected.
“Coaching, Confidence, Community.”
“The coaching has been first-class. Even in small groups, I’ve had so much personal attention. I used to avoid certain exercises, like deadlifts, but now I feel confident enough to walk into any gym and get it done right. The community is brilliant — everyone’s welcoming, and there’s always time for a laugh as well as hard work. If you’re on the fence, just come down and give it a go — I think you’ll be surprised.”
